Apparently, most church people do not read the Bible much at all. They get their Bible knowledge from sermons and group Bible studies. Typically, preachers preach the same 10% of the Bible over and over. They are like Taco Bell. The same ingredients combined in different ways and given different names.

Most church people have almost no knowledge of what is in the remaining 90%. It is typically ignored, neglected and avoided completely. Especially those parts that do not "scratch people's itching ears" (2 Timothy 4:2-4). So they really do not know much about God, His nature, His purposes, His ways and so on.

Acts 20:27 KJV

[27] For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Do you ever hear preaching about these verses, for example?

Exodus 4:24-26 KJV

[24] And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met [Moses], and sought to kill him.

[25] Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

[26] So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

Judges 20:6 KJV

[6] And I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the country of the inheritance of Israel: for they have committed lewdness and folly in Israel.

Haggai 1:6 KJV

[6] Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Matthew 11:12 KJV

[12] And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Luke 16:8 KJV

[8] And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
