Die to self?

People say, “We must die to self.” God is not against self, as many believe. He is not against your well-being. In fact, Jesus died for you to benefit.

Matthew 16:26 KJV

[26] For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

If you died to self, you would seek the wrath of God, instead of salvation.

Because God loves so much, He would have us seek our profit where it is to be found. Not where it cannot be found. Seeking your well-being as the unsaved world does, not only eventually disappoints, it harms you greatly.

God gave us commandments, each one of them, even the bizarre ones, for people’s benefit. Do yourself a favor—obey them!
