Incredibly important and serious.

Many people who claim to be Christians seem to believe most of the Bible. Yet what they definitely do not believe is how important and serious it is. This can be seen by how sloppy, careless and uncaring they are about correctly understanding the Bible. As a result, they end up with a lot of misunderstandings. And they do not even take their misunderstandings seriously. They are lethargic and apathetic. They often contradict themselves. Typically, they do not remember anything from the sermons they hear. (Would they forget Christmas or that they have cancer? The sermons are way more important than these two things.)

Philippians 2:12 KJV

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Hebrews 11:6 KJV

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Fear and trembling. Diligently.

God commands seriousness.
