Jesus’ amazing love.

Here is a telling instance of Jesus expressing His enormous love for His people.

Jesus had been arrested, about to be crucified, soon to carry out His most important responsibility—saving people from God‘s wrath. At that moment, while being mocked and tortured, He turned His attention to Peter, the one who had just betrayed Him three times. Peter did this right in front of Jesus, right in His face, so to speak. Incredibly, Jesus’ thoughts were on Peter then, rather than just on Himself. And Jesus ministered to Peter immediately, doing for Peter exactly what he needed.

Luke 22:61-62 KJV

[61] And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

[62] And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

Notice how little Jesus did to minister to Peter precisely what Peter needed. Contrast this to the overkill “ministries” of so many. For example, nagging on and on and on about people’s sins.
