Jude 1:4,12 KJV

[4] For there are certain men crept in unawares, ...ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, ...

[12] ...clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, ...

"Water" = God's Word.

Ephesians 5:26 KJV

[26] That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

"Wind" = doctrine.

Ephesians 4:14 KJV

[14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Some false Bible teachers do not get much right at all. But the most dangerous ones are those who teach mostly truth, but mix in a little bit of false teaching. Like adding a few drops of sewage to a glass of pure water. This is how they “creep in unawares.” These people are easy to believe. As a result, many are deceived by their teachings.

If you know the Bible well, can distinguish true from false, and scrutinize everything you hear, it is possible to learn the Bible from these false teachers. Because most of what they say is true.

Though I would not recommend it to most people, I have learned some really important things from people that seem to be false teachers.

Even the devil quoted Scripture accurately to Jesus when he tempted Him. He almost quoted it word for word.

Matthew 4:6 KJV

[6] And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Psalm 91:11-12 KJV

[11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

[12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
