Sometimes God's way is to make things extremely difficult.

One of God’s ways is to make things difficult, so people cannot deny that God got the results. They glorify God and not people. So when you pray for something and your circumstances get worse, trust in the Lord and glorify Him for whatever it is He is doing in your life and in the lives of those around you.

Consider

God reduced Gideon’s army to just a few. Judges 7.

Judges 7:2 KJV

[2] And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

Elijah watered down the altar, before God sent fire to burn the sacrifice.

1 Kings 18:33 KJV

[33] And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

God uses the lowliest of people to do great things.

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 KJV

[26] For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

[27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

[28] And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

[29] That no flesh should glory in his presence.
