Submitting to authorities.

Submission to any biblical authority—churches to the elders, wives to husbands, etc.—is the obligation of those under authority. Authorities are not required to try to force them to obey.

However, out of concern for the well-being of those under authority—submission to authority is in their best interests—all must encourage and exhort them to submit.
