Knowing the meanings of words, specifically God‘s meanings of the words He used to write the Bible, is basic and essential to understanding the Bible correctly.
However, we live at a time when inconsistency in language is thriving. A given word is used to mean most anything. Even its opposite.
For example, the word “entitled” is used to refer to people who definitely are not entitled.
