Steps to getting saved.

Here are the steps to salvation. People must take them in this order.

1. Fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7).

2. Godly sorrow and/or recognition of the goodness of God (2 Corinthians 7:10, Romans 2:4).

3. Repentance toward God (Acts 20:21).

4. Faith in Jesus as Lord and Christ (Acts 16:30-31).

It may take years between each step, as God works on the heart.
