Once you are saved, God begins transforming you to be more and more like Jesus. He does not do this alone, while you do nothing to make this happen. God does His part and you must do your part. You must strive to be like Jesus with your whole heart. This must be your top priority in life. Being like Jesus is bearing the fruit of the Spirit. Being like Jesus and, consequently, living like Jesus will involve being rejected by many, falsely accused, having all sorts of difficulties and pain, and so on.
